All hail the Chile Pepper!
Born with a true Yankee tongue, it took me many years to come to truly
appreciate chile peppers. As a kid, I wouldn't touch the stuff. Slowly, I
have
built up a tolerance for the heat which has allowed me to finally come to
appreciate the flavor that chiles lend to food. Mmmmmmmm! This process was
hastened by living with housemates in Colorado who had a fondness for
everything from jalapenos to habaneros. Never for me the unending quest
for ever hotter sauces. Don't get me wrong, I love the fire and heat of
chile peppers, but I appreciate them most for their flavor.
About This Site
I created this web site as the final project for LIS 541 Internet
Technologies and Applications, a class I took at the University of
Washington as part of the Masters of Library and Information Science
program. It was essentially the first site I ever designed (I had played
around with really basic HTML once or twice before). I must say, I
had lots of fun building this! The goal of the project was to demonstrate
skills we had learned
over the course of the semester. Some multi-media elements such as sound
clips that play when a page is opened, which were added solely to satisfy
project requirements, have been removed. This is one of many projects
that I hope to add to continue to add to and update in my copious spare
time. Hope you find it fun and informative!
